Words, words, words. They are everywhere. Have you ever noticed that you are drawn to certain words? Think about it. I had this ah-ha moment a while back when I was thinking about the gifts God placed in us before our births and realized that there are certain words that I’m drawn to. When I hear them, my ears seem to listen more intently. When I see them on a book or a magazine standing in the checkout line they jump off the page.
From this point in life, I can look back and see my God-given gifts and talents in a way that I couldn’t see before. I’m hopeful to teach others to see them at a younger age or if that moment has gone then at least before they go to be with Jesus. So I want you to begin to notice words that catch your eye or ear.
I love the words organize, simple, event, teach and hike to name a few.
Now that you that you see the words that have always gotten my attention, let me tell you a little about myself. I’m an event planner who teaches both planning and the Bible. I love to hike although it’s not nearly as much a part of my life as I would like. I love organizing and simplifying processes in particular. Do you see a correlation between who I am and the words I enjoy?
This might not be a life altering revelation to you but it might bring a bit of clarity. God has placed gifts inside of you that are yearning to get out. Maybe this can help you see a pattern emerge. Although I was already doing many of these things when the realization came, it brought a sense of peace that I am being my authentic self.
