30 Days of Hope: Day Thirty

Welcome to 30 Days of Hope. For the month of April 2020 we will create a blog post, and a podcast on this page daily pertaining to hope, written and recorded by many different people within Dawn of Hope.

Day Thirty by Kim Harrison

To wrap up our 30 days of Hope, I wanted to bring some scriptures that bring me great comfort because they describe the nature of God.

1st, He is not a man that He should lie.  We can trust in Him. Men may lie but He cannot.

Numbers 23:19 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

19 God is not a man, that He should tell or act a lie, neither the son of man, that He should feel repentance or compunction [for what He has promised]. Has He said and shall He not do it? Or has He spoken and shall He not make it good?

Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

2nd:  We can hold fast to His promises because He is reliable. We can hang on for dear life to His promises and see them come to pass.

Hebrews 10:23 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

23 So let us seize and hold fast and retain without wavering the [a]hope we cherish and confess and our acknowledgement of it, for He Who promised is reliable (sure) and faithful to His word.

3rd:We can trust in Him and have confidence. We do not have to go around wringing our hands.

Jeremiah 17:7 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

7 [Most] blessed is the man who believes in, trusts in, and relies on the Lord, and whose hope and confidence the Lord is.

God has great plans for you and me. Let’s pray now for God’s plan in our lives.

Dear God, Thank you for your word and for giving me things that I can count on. I choose to trust in you. I believe and I accept the things that you have said. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
